I got fed up with my leaking windshield frame, so I took it off and got rid of the rust. I also braced the front of the frame, since I've heard that the wiper arms tend to shred off over time. The plan was great but the execution failed a little due to the fact that I welded the brace to the windshield frame and the heat twisted the frame to the extent that it was almost ruined. Fortunately I managed to undo the damage so that the frame is still usabel. It's far from pretty, but usable.

Kyllästyin vuotavaan tuulilasinkehykseen, joten otin sen irti ja hävitin siitä ruosteet. Vahvistin myös kehyksen alareunaa, koska olen kuullut, että ajan kanssa pyyhkijän varsilla on tapana murtua pellistä irti. Suunnitelma oli erinomainen, mutta toteutus epäonnistui siinä mielessä, että hitsasin vahvikkeen kehykseen. Hitsauksen aiheuttaman lämpövääntelyn seurauksena kehys vääntyi lähes käyttökelvottomaan kuntoon. Onneksi onnistuin korjaamaan vahinkoa sen verran, että kehyksestä tuli taas käyttökelpoinen. Kaunista siitä ei enää saanut, mutta käyttökelpoisen.
