I had learned that the newer Samurais had a more powerful alternator equipped on them and they would be a perfect upgrade for the wimpy 45A alternator which is stock for older Suzukis. After seeking for an reasonably priced aftermarket part, I chose to purchase a used alternator taken from a wrecked 1998 turbo diesel Samurai.
